Did you wake up and find your iPhone not able to make calls on Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T? You are not alone as millions are reportedly without phone service.

Update: Many are now reporting Android is also being impacted by this outage.

Update #2: T-Mobile, Verizon, and others say their networks are not impacted unless customers are trying to contact an AT&T customer. In a statement, Verizon said, “Verizon’s network remains fully operational. Some customers may have experienced issues this morning when calling or texting those served by another carrier. Our network continues to function normally.”

Update #3: Most AT&T customers should now be back online.

AT&T seems to be the one hit hardest, but we are also seeing reports from Verizon and T-Mobile reporting similar outages, according to Downdetector. The outages all seem to have started around 4 AM Eastern.

Many iPhone owners are seeing their phones showing a SOS mode warning. Others are seeing no service messages, and both mean the same thing: the iPhone has lost connection to the network.

If you have an SOS mode message you may still be able to call 911 with your iPhone. If not you may want to try and use WiFi to make any emergency calls using WiFi mode.
