Netflix has been outdoing itself lately releasing hit after mega hit and beating its old records. The latest milestone comes from the streamer’s limited series Inventing Anna which now holds the title as the highest-viewed English language series in a one week period.
The Shondaland series based on true events surrounding fake socialite Anna Delvey/Sorokin has racked up 273 million hours in viewing time during its first two weeks, with 196M hours between February 14 and 20. It’s currently the top trending title on Netflix.
The previous record holder was season 3 of You which clocked 179M hours in one week. The Korean thriller Squid Game is still by far the most-watched series overall with its highest week racking up an outstanding 571M hours. Another K drama, All Of Us Are Dead registered 236M hours so far in February.
While the stats are accurate according to Netflix, it’s worth noting these numbers only reflect the time period since Netflix changed its measurement method last summer.
