It’s been almost three years since I sold Cord Cutters News. Last week I was able to announce I was back; now I am very excited to announce I once again own Cord Cutters News. I am extremely excited to get Cord Cutters News back to its roots of news coverage, deal finding, and to help you save money on your TV bill.

With this move, I am once again the sole and only owner of Cord Cutters News. I would also like to say a personal thanks to Fandom for working with me on a deal that made this possible. Their team was amazing and very kind as we worked together to reach a deal that allowed me to buy back Cord Cutters News.

Some of you may not know who I am. I am the original founder of Cord Cutters News. I sold the site back in 2020 and am very excited to be back again as the owner of Cord Cutters News.

My goal is to make Cord Cutters News the best site for news, deals, and how-to’s about cord cutting. I also hope to make this a great site to help you save money on a wide range of other topics like home internet, phone, wireless, and more. Cutting the cord doesn’t need to stop at saving money on TV- we want to help you save money however we can.

To celebrate we have a massive giveaway going on right now. You could win a Roku Ultra 2022, a $100 Netflix gift card, and a $100 in Hulu gift cards CLICK HERE to enter the giveaway.

I need your help!

Step by step I will build this site to be what you want. To do that, I need your help. Could you help spread the word that I am back? Do you have friends that you know stopped visiting? Maybe unfollowed our social media or newsletters? Please let them know I am back and that CCN is back!

Please don’t spam other sites, but if you see someone post about CCN, let them know I’m back running the site.

Do you have any tips? Some of our best sources on what is happening in the world of cord cutting have always been you, the readers. Please Contact Us at the top of the site or on social media to let us know of any news tips you may have found.

Lastly, please follow all our social media channels, including the new ones from The Breakdown on YouTube.

Please share our stories with your friends on Twitter and Facebook to help us grow and expand.

Website Update

Right now, I am busy behind the scenes making changes that I think will help make this site even better. Some of the things I am working on right now include bringing an updated look to the website. We had to rush this out faster than we wanted so look for more updates to come in the weeks and months ahead.

A little update on what I have been doing.

After I sold Cord Cutters News, I took the opportunity to move back to Michigan from Texas to be close to my wife and I’s family. My daughter recently turned 10 and I now have a 17 month old son. My wife just recently retired from the Army after over 20 years of service.

For work, I have been doing tech reviews on “The Breakdown with Luke” YouTube channel, a channel that is now a partner of Cord Cutters News and will continue to post non cord cutting reviews on a wide range of products.

You can also follow me on Twitter and join my Facebook deals group here

So, what about Jess, Tmera, and Philip?

With this news, there will be some changes in staff. Jess, Tmera, Philip and the rest of the team have moved over to Fandom where they’re working on brands including TV Guide, GameSpot, and Metacritic. I am extremely excited for them and the opportunities they have at Fandom. You can find them on Twitter here: @JessTypes @tmera_hep @Philip_Palermo

Some good news is Becca, one of the original full time employees here at Cord Cutters News has agreed to return. Becca was a key part of building Cord Cutters News by running a wide range of back end services including the Facebook group, social media, newsletter, and so much more. Look for her to resume these duties in the weeks to come.

I am extremely thankful of all the hard work everyone has put into CCN to keep it up and running.

So, what next?

Right now, CCN is back to what CCN was before the sale. That is where we are now, and the good news is I have some of the same help I did back in 2017 with my wife and website admin back again to help me grow the site. Becca is now the COO of Cord Cutters News, helping run all of the back ends that is so important, but readers never see.

My goal is to get CCN back up and running bigger and better than ever. To do that will take some time. My goal is to build up activity, make all the changes I listed above and as revenue, etc returns, bring on more staff to make CCN better than ever. Ultimately, I would love to get back into an office with a large review lab and a full staff to create the content you want and expect from CCN.

All of these changes won’t happen overnight, but I am dedicated to CCN and won’t be selling it ever again. I have a plan and we will be slowly executing that plan.

Once again hopefully, we can help you save money but still watching the shows you enjoy.
