Tiger king - Carole BaskinIf you’ve watched Netflix this last month or have been on the internet at all for that matter, you’re probably familiar with Netflix’s recent series Tiger King. Now, Investigation Discovery is commissioning a sequel titled, Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic.

The feud between big cat owners Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin has taken social media by storm and is at the top of Netflix’s current most-watched titles. But the series left an unresolved mystery that’s even stirred up new police investigations and is one that ID is setting out to solve.

“Viewers are understandably riveted by Netflix’s ‘Tiger King,’ but the millions of true crime fans around the world were left wanting more,” said Henry Schleiff, Group President ID, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America.  “ID is the perfect place to find the inevitable sequel to this drama – featuring a missing husband, a hit man, and the illegal business of exotic animals.  It’s time to let the cat out of the bag and address the lingering questions that viewers demand be answered.”

The series will reveal exclusive new footage and address whether Joe’s conviction is justified, what secrets lie hidden within Doc Antle’s walls, and set out to find the answer to everyone’s burning question, Did Carole Baskin kill her husband and feed his body to the tigers?

The upcoming investigation series will be produced by Conveyor Media with Theresa McKeown & Colin Whelan as Executive Producers and will be available exclusively on ID.
