Hulu LogoHulu has just announced that it will be improving video quality to 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second on select live channels, starting this month. Video quality will be upgraded on Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, and Samsung devices.

The upgrade will also be coming to additional devices and more channels soon.

Previously, 1080p at 60fps was only available on Apple TV and Xbox One. Hulu with Live subscribers could only stream at 720p/60fps on Android TV, Chrome browsers, Chromecast, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, iPhone and iPad, LG TV, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Samsung TV, and VIZIO SmartCast TVs.

This is breaking news. We’ll be back with more details.
