Hulu LogoWish you had more control over the ads you see on Hulu? Maybe wish you could buy directly from the advertisers you see on Hulu? Good news: soon you will be able to do just that. Yesterday Tech Crunch reported that Hulu is working on a way to let users make choices and purchases directly from ads on Hulu.

Hulu hopes these new ads will be less disruptive and let Hulu subscribers have more control over them. Hulu reportedly wants to use a “choose-your-own-adventure” style of advertising where viewers can select which ads from a brand they want to see.

Hulu also wants to roll out ads where you will be able to purchase directly from the ad. That could include clicking on the ad on mobile or desktop or scanning a QR code on your TV screen.

Increasingly streaming services like Hulu are looking for ways to not only make ads more profitable but also make them more enjoyable for the end subscriber. The question now is will this new model for ads on Hulu be well received by subscribers.
