This issue only seems to affect the live side on-demand customers seem unaffected by this outage. This is likely because the servers handling live are different from the on-demand servers.
The outage started around 8 pm Eastern and has continued for live TV customers. The outage seems to cause the selected live stream to fail to load, resulting in the video just sitting there trying to play until you excite the video you selected.
Sadly right now, there is no easy fix for this, and you will likely need to wait for Hulu to fix this outage before you can resume watching live TV.
