Cord cutters in multiple regions just got a major upgrade in their streaming options. e. Disney Entertainment and TelevisaUnivision have announced a new distribution deal that brings more Spanish-language content to Hulu + Live TV in the U.S. and bundles Disney+ with ViX in Mexico. For viewers looking to ditch cable without losing access to major networks, this partnership is a game-changer.
Starting June 3, Hulu + Live TV subscribers will gain access to key Spanish-language channels, including Univision, UniMás, TUDN, and Galavisión live and in HD as part of the core lineup. Subscribers can watch more soccer matches, telenovelas, variety shows, and news seamlessly without the need to upgrade or purchase an add-on. The move comes just ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup and CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Additionally, Hulu’s Español add-on will soon feature even more Spanish-language content like tlNovelas, N+FORO, Bandamax, and Telehit. Hulu + Live TV already includes Disney+ and ESPN+, so one subscription now covers an even wider range of content—everything from The Mandalorian and Marvel to Liga MX and Latin entertainment.
“We’re thrilled to enter into this new partnership with Disney that puts our community at the center. TelevisaUnivision is the top producer of Spanish-language content in the world, and this deal underscores two critically important elements: our portfolio is a main anchor for any pay TV distributor — without TelevisaUnivision, there is no complete pay-tv offering; and our direct-to-consumer business continues to break boundaries as ViX further strengthens its powerful connection to Hispanics around the world,” said Rafael Urbina, President of Streaming and Digital at TelevisaUnivision.
In Mexico, the partnership bundles Disney+ directly with ViX, TelevisaUnivision’s flagship streaming platform. Starting in June, ViX subscribers will automatically get access to Disney+ content without the need of extra accounts or payments. Streaming hit Disney films, series, and Originals alongside ViX’s extensive Spanish-language library of news, sports, novelas, and more is just a click away.
“This new partnership allows us to strategically build upon our current channel offering and Spanish-language content available on Hulu + Live TV, while providing subscribers in Mexico with a meaningful opportunity to access the very best of Disney’s blockbuster films, award-winning Originals and iconic franchises alongside TelevisaUnivision’s industry-leading Spanish-language content including news, novelas, sports and more in one subscription,” said Lauren Tempest, General Manager, Hulu & EVP, DTC Content Partnerships.
