This week Hulu is doubling down with a new ad campaign called “Better Ruins Everything.” This new campaign uses some of the biggest stars in sports and TV right now to push Hulu. These stars include real-life couple Sofia Vergara (“Modern Family”) and Joe Manganiello (“Justice League”), sports superstars James Harden (Houston Rockets) and Jared Goff (L.A. Rams), Emmy-Award winner Samira Wiley (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Sarah Silverman (Hulu’s “I Love You, America”), Ramy Youssef (upcoming Hulu Original “Ramy”), and Miles Brown (“Black-ish”).

Right now, Hulu is facing ever-growing competition from over 10 live TV streaming services. With this very competitive market, many are saying one or more services is likely to fail in the next few years. Now, this is not a failure on the part of cord cutting but the reality that the live TV streaming market is becoming overly crowded with services.

Hulu and other live TV services are trying to ensure that they will be one of the services that will be left standing by investing heavily in ads. So, look for ads for live TV services to become more popular as a growing number of services fight for cord cutters’ attention.
