Today Hulu announced that they have added the ability to download movies and TV shows to Android Devices. Hulu had already added the ability to download shows and movies to iOS a few weeks ago. The one catch is you need to have Hulu’s commercial free plan to use the download feature.
“Available today on iOS for viewers on our Hulu (No Ads) plan, you’ll now be able to download thousands of shows and movies — like past seasons of hit series including Family Guy, Desperate Housewives, This is Us, How I Met Your Mother, and ER, as well as Hulu Originals like The Handmaid’s Tale, Shrill and The Act — to take with you on the go. Now, with Hulu, you can watch what you want, when you want…even when you don’t have an internet connection.” Hulu said in a statement on their site.
Viewers can download up to 25 titles across 5 different devices and will have up to 30 days to watch their downloaded content. After beginning to watch, content will expire 2 days after starting playback. Content can then be renewed the next time you’re online, as long as it’s still available on Hulu.
Android users can now get this feature with the latest app update in the Google Play store.
