Fans of the 2000s medical dramedy House will be happy to know that the series has found a new streaming home with Hulu. Starring Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House, the series follows the titular character as he deals with his addiction to pain meds while leading a team of doctors with his brilliant mind. In short, if Sherlock Holmes was a medical doctor he would be Gregory House.
Created by David Shore, the series originally ran for eight seasons on Fox from November 16, 2004, to May 21, 2012. Laurie was joined by an ensemble cast that included Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer, Kal Penn, Peter Jacobson, Amber Tamblyn, Odette Annable, Charlyne Yi, and Olivia Wilde during its run.
During its run, House was met with acclaim from audiences and critics, with a trophy case full of awards: five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes, a Peabody Award, three NAACP Image Awards, nine People Choice Awards, and numerous others.
All 177 episodes will be available to stream on Hulu later this week. You can also find the entire series available to stream on Prime Video.
Recently, it was reported that Disney will buy out Comcast’s stake in Hulu later this year. Adding House to the platform is another example of Hulu expanding its already massive library of content. The medical drama joins Bob’s Burgers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, Grey’s Anatomy, The Masked Singer, This Is Us, Rick & Morty, 30 Rock, and more as series that are available to stream past seasons on demand. It was also reported that Hulu has renewed Futurama for two more seasons.
