Did you miss out on the first four rounds of Hulu Beta invites? Well it seems that you will have to wait till it goes public in May.
Recently Hulu contacted their live TV beta testers to tell them the beta will end April 26th 2017. At that point their access to the live TV service will end and they will have to wait till it goes public to use it again. Cord Cutters News has heard this from Hulu beta testers and two others have posted the same on Hulu’s subReddit.
This seems to be inline with a time frame for Hulu’s new live TV streaming service. According to reports from Tech Crunch Hulu is now telling staff that the launch date for the live TV service is being targeted for the first week of May. It is also reported that at the same time the new Hulu app will start rolling out for all users.
Just understand that the first week of May is a goal not a locked in date. It could easily be pushed back a few weeks.
We still do not know exact roll out of the Hulu live TV service. It is likely that the launch of Hulu’s new live TV service will depend on how successful the beta program is. If it finds a lot of glitches it is likely Hulu will want to wait longer to try and iron out any of the potential issues. Something other services did not do.
