Today Hulu announced that they are rolling out new features for the web version of Hulu’s live TV beta. Now you will find a picture-in-picture and a more robust search for subscribers who have HBO or Cinemx add-ons available on the website version of Hulu’s live TV service.
“My Stuff is your personal space for everything you want to keep track of – you control what goes here. Now, when you log into beta.hulu.com, you’ll be able to select from any of your up to six profiles and jump straight into My Stuff from the navigation bar at the top of your page. You can also easily add and remove programming from My Stuff from any TV show, movie and team details page. When you add something, we’ll remember what you’ve already watched and what you have left to finish.’ said Richard Irving, VP of Product at Hulu.
“Picture-in-picture is a feature that many of you have expressed interest in and one that we’re particularly excited to introduce to the Web experience. It allows you to continue watching your favorite programming while you browse the rest of the UI. Just click the “minimize” button in the right, bottom corner of the player to activate picture-in-picture viewing. From there, you’ll be able to move the small player anywhere on your screen while you multi-task.” said Richard Irving, VP of Product at Hulu.
Can’t remember the title of a movie or are in the mood for a particular type of movie, the expanded Search will also populate results that match against movie descriptions. So just try to describe it and Hulu may be able to find that move you loved but can’t find.
