Today Cord Cutters News started to receive word that Hulu has added more local channels. It seems more Tribune owned local FOX channels have been added to the service. Back in late May Hulu added several Tribune owned FOX affiliates and now it seems that they have added even more.
So far we have confirmed that WITI in Milwaukee, WI was added. In total Tribune has about 15 local FOX affiliates but so far we can only confirm that 8 have been added. It is very likely that the other Tribune owned local FOX affiliates will be added to Hulu’s live TV beta.
Hulu has yet to confirm the new channels but we have heard from multiple readers that confirmed the addition of new channels. With the addition of these new channels Hulu is now in second place just behind PlayStation Vue for most local channels. Hulu has beat out Sling TV and DIRECTV NOW when looking at local channels. (Note this is based on the last known number of local channels from each service.)
