Today Hulu’s live TV streaming service added ABC News Live and CBSN the 24/7 CBS News network. These news networks join others already on Hulu including CNBC, CNN, CNN International, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and HLN.
“This is an important step in our ongoing strategy of expanding distribution of CBSN, now available on multiple vMVPDs as well as our CBS News digital platforms,” said Christy Tanner, Executive Vice President and General Manager for CBS News Digital said in a statement on their site. “With access to CBSN’s round-the-clock news coverage and trusted journalism, Hulu subscribers will have the ability to stream the latest breaking news and catch up on the day’s top stories, wherever they are.”
This gives Hulu even more news options and helps them stand out from a growing market of live TV streaming services. Now with even more live TV streaming services getting ready to launch later this year Hulu and others are fighting to find ways to stand out. Hulu has long stood on the fact that not only do you get live TV for $40 but you also get access to Hulu’s on-demand catalog helping them stand out from the competition.
