There is only one way for the WWE Universe to bring in 2022 and that’s by watching the explosive action inside of the squared circle. WWE’s NXT brand is welcoming the New Year with a special episode NXT New Year’s Evil. The special will feature developmental stars from NXT 2.0 and WWE Superstars from the main roster.

New Year’s Evil gets its namesake from a special episode of WCW Nitro, which aired on December 27, 1999, to usher in the new millennium. After WCW was acquired by the WWE the event was dormant until 2021, when the first NXT New Year’s Evil took place from the Capital Wrestling Center, in Orlando, Florida. This year’s event will take place at the same venue but the CWC name has been phased out.

Match Card

5 matches have been announced for the event, which will feature 3 championship matches. Not only will NXT 2.0 superstars be in action but WWE Raw superstars Matt Riddle and AJ Styles will be competing at the event.

Below are the listed matches and events scheduled for Tuesday night.

  • NXT Championship Match
    • Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Bron Breakker
  • NXT Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match
    • Mandy Rose (c) vs. Cora Jade vs. Raquel González
  • NXT North American Championship and NXT Cruiserweight Championship Unification Match
