The best golfers in the world will converge at Los Angeles Country Club for the 2023 US Open.
After last week’s tournament in Canada, the PGA Tour returns to the US for the US Open, which is the third of the four major golf championships. Staged by the United States Golf Association (USGA), the US Open was established in 1895 with the first event held in Newport, Rhode Island. This is the first to take place in Los Angeles.
Players will be teeing off for a chance to win $17.5 million of the $3.15 million. 2022 winner Matt Fitzpatrick, who is 8th in the PGA Tour World Ranking, will be returning to compete against top-name golfers, including Bryson DeChambeau (2020 winner), Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Viktor Holvland, Jon Rahm (2021 winner), Tony Finau, Jordan Spieth (2015), Patrick Cantlay, Brooks Koepka (2017 and 2018 winner), Hideki Matsuyama and Rory McIlroy (2011 winner).
