The United Football League (UFL) kicks off its inaugural season with the defending USFL and XFL champions clashing in the opening game. The Birmingham Stallions (2023 USFL champions) will visit the Arlington Renegades (2023 XFL champions) in the first game of a Saturday double-header to launch the new league.

The USFL and XFL merged in late 2023 to create the UFL and an opportunity to take spring football to heights unseen. The new league looks to cement itself after the former two leagues had their ups and downs. The new league has only eight teams, with four teams representing each conference, playing a 10-game regular season.
