The UFC returns to San Antonio for the third time with a loaded card for UFC Fight Night: Vera vs. Sandhagen. The AT&T Center will be home to a bantamweight throwdown inside of the Octagon between #4 ranked Marlon “Chito” Vera and #5 Cory “The Sandman” Sandhagen in the main event.
Former interim title challenger Sandhagen is 15-4 with 10 wins by knockout or submission. He won 2021 Knockout of the Year against Frankie Edgar, but he’s 1-2 in his last three fights. The Sandman has won Fight of the Night twice in his career.
At 20-7-1, Vera is currently on a 4-fight win streak and has knockout wins over Sean O’Malley, Frankie Edgar, and most recently Dominick Cruz. The Ecuadorian-born fighter has 16 wins by knockout or submission.
In the co-main event, former Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm squares off against #6 ranked Yana Santos.
