Excited Sports Fans Cheering at TV

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to the Big Apple for one of the biggest fights of the month with UFC 295: Procházka vs. Pereira. Live from Madison Square Garden, tonight’s event is the first time the UFC has visited New York City since November of 2022 (UFC 281) and the seventh trip in the promotion’s history.

The main event features a bout between Jiri Prochazka and Alex “Poatan” Pereira for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Prochazka fights out of the Czech Republic with a 29-3-1 record, 28 wins are by knockout or submission, and he’s a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Standing across from him is former UFC Middleweight Champion Pereira, who is 8-2 and the only fighter to finish Israel Adesanya. During the UFC 295 Pre-Fight Press Conference, both fighters spoke about the matchup to give fans insight and to excite their duel inside the Octagon.

The 13-bout card will also feature a co-main event between Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship. With it being the UFC’s 30th-anniversary show, fireworks are sure to fly at UFC 295 and cord cutters can find out how to watch live, below.
