The UFC makes its return to Canada with a big-time matchup for UFC 289: Nunes vs Aldana.

Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. will be home to the MMA promotion’s 32nd trip to Canada and the 6th visit to Vancouver, with the last event taking place in the Great White North in 2019.

UFC 289 will be headlined by Bantamweight champion Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes will defend her title against Irene Aldana in the third fight of their trilogy. The co-main event of the 11-bout card will feature the return of Charles Oliveira.

At 22-5, Nunes is one of the most decorated fighters to step inside the Octagon and is the #1 pound-for-pound female fighter in the world. She’s the reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight and Featherweight champion with 13 career wins by knockout. In their first fight, Aldana (14-6), shocked the world after upsetting The Lioness and winning the Bantamweight title. Nunes reclaimed her championship in their second meeting.
