This weekend, one of the biggest rematches will take place in the Octagon at UFC 268: Usman vs Covington 2. UFC Welterweight Champion “The Nigerian Nightmare” Kamaru Usman will defend his title against  Colby “Chaos” Covington in the main event of the 14-fight card.

These fighters first met back in 2019 at UFC 245, which won Fight of the Night honors, after Usman won with a 5th-round technical knockout. Since then Usman has become the #1 ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He’s the first Nigerian-born UFC champion and the winner of season 21 of The Ultimate Fighter. The Nigerian Nightmare is on an 18-fight win streak, and he has never lost in the UFC. Usman has become a knockout artist after winning 3 of his last 4 fights by knockout, including a KO against BMF champion Jorge Masvidal.

Covington looks to avenge his loss and leave the Octagon as UFC Welterweight champion. Chaos is the  #1 ranked welterweight, former interim champion, and an NCAA Division I All-American in wrestling. He’s on a hot streak after winning 8 of his last 9 fights and is coming off a TKO win over Tyron Woodley. His 2019 defeat to Usman is available to watch on the UFC’s YouTube page.

The second title fight of the night is a Women’s Strawweight Title bout between “Thug” Rose Namajunas (C) and Zhang Weili. This will be a rematch from UFC 261 where Rose won by 1st round TKO and became the first 2-time women’s champion in UFC history.

Both fighters have put in a lot of work to get here. Rose has the most wins by stoppage in the division and has wins over 3 former champions. Before she was knocked out by a kick from Rose, Zhang was on a 20-fight win streak. Their first fight is available to watch on the UFC’s YouTube page.

With a stacked card, the world’s most famous arena is the only place to house such an event. Madison Square Center in New York City, New York will be the home to all of the hard-hitting combat action inside of the Octagon. This is the first time a UFC fight has taken place at MSG since UFC 244 in 2019. The Big Apple will be packed with fans in attendance; however, cord cutters can find out how to watch UFC 268 below.
