For the first time since pulling out of the 2023 Masters, Tiger Woods makes his long-awaited return to golf for the 2023 Hero World Challenge. Woods hasn’t made a professional appearance since April and he’ll serve as host of the tournament which is a benefit for the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas will be home to the event, which features 20 of the top-ranked golfers in the world. No FedEx Cup points will be awarded, however, the event is part of the PGA Tour schedule. With a purse of $4.5 million, the winner will receive $1 million, but since the tournament is an unofficial event, the prize will not count towards the standings.

Some of golf’s biggest names will be joining Woods during his comeback in the Bahamas. Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland Sam Burns, Max Homa Jason Day, Matt Fitzpatrick Sepp Straka, Brian Harman Will Zalatoris, Wyndham Clark Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, Justin Rose, Keegan Bradley, and Lucas Glover are expected to compete against Tiger during the four-day tournament.
