How to Watch the NBA on MLK Day on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV & More

, ,

The National Basketball Association continues its long-standing tradition of basketball games on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The tradition dates back to 1986 when the holiday was first established to honor the civil rights leader. With the NBA celebrating its 75th anniversary, there are 12 games, including 4 national broadcasts, on the schedule as the league honors and celebrates Dr. King’s legacy.

For the holiday, the league will focus on social justice causes, and the players will be wearing custom warmups featuring quotes from King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Joel Embiid, LaMelo Ball, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Jimmy Butler, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and LeBron James are just a few of the superstars expected to take the floor.
