We are 10 weeks into the college football season and business is about to pick up as the College Football Playoffs are quickly approaching. Teams are trying to finish the season strong for a chance to be one of the final four teams in the College Football Playoffs for a chance to compete for the championship.
Georgia, Cincinnati, Alabama, and Oklahoma are the Top-4 teams, respectively, in the AP Top 25 and the AFCA Coaches Poll. No.1-ranked Georgia and No. 3-ranked Alabama are SEC powerhouses, which may clash in the SEC Championship game at the season’s end. The loser of that game could be on the outside looking in when the playoffs start, and we could see No. 2-ranked Cincinnati become the first Group 5 team to be the top overall playoff seed.
With a few more weeks left in the season, a lot of things could change, but tonight, fans will find out if the College Football Playoff Committee agrees or disagrees with the two national polls of the would-be playoff contenders. Fans across the country can watch all the drama unfold as the first College Football Playoff rankings are unveiled.
