If you are like me making sure your kids can access the shows they enjoy is a big part of deciding to become a cord cutter. Especially during a snow day or a rainy summer afternoon stuck inside on a rainy day without out their kid’s favorite shows.

In my family, we have a 6-year-old the Disney Channel and Disney Junior shows are must-haves. Nothing calms our daughter down for bed like an episode of the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and a cup of milk before bed.

So here is a quick guide on how to access these channels without signing a 2-year contract for cable TV.

Live TV Options

Hulu

If you already pay for Hulu make sure to check out their new Hulu Live TV beta. They include Disney Channel and many other popular sports channels. If you already pay for Hulu, the live TV option is one you should check out.

Sling TV

If you want inexpensive, Sling TV has you covered. You can get Disney Channel for just $20 a month.  Sling TV offers a 7-day trial allowing you to test it out before you pay for it.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV starts at $40 a month and includes The Disney Channel. You can sign up for YouTube TV here.

PlayStation Vue

PlayStation Vue also starts at $45 a month giving you full to the Disney Channel.

DIRECTV NOW

If you have AT&T unlimited wireless you should check out DIRECTV NOW. For their Unlimited customers, DIRECTV NOW is just $20 a month making this an inexpensive way to get Disney Channel. No matter what package you want, AT&T Unlimited customers can get $15 off to help make it an even better deal.

DIRECTV NOW also offers a free 7-day trial.

Season Passes

One thing to consider is buying a season pass for Disney shows on Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, or one of many other streaming stores. Starting at just $19.99 you can easily stock up on a few seasons. (I get my daughters cartoons in SD. Saves data on our old data cap and cartoons like these look the same to me in SD as they do in HD.)

If your kid is like my daughter she or he is happy to rewatch the same shows over and over as long as there is a nice selection to pick from. We just bought a few seasons of my daughter’s favorite shows. The best part was the ability to download the shows and watch them on her tablet as we traveled.

One of the best options for watching Disney content is Disney Plus. Check out Disney Plus pricing and free trial information here.

Netflix and Hulu

Both Netflix and Hulu have an impressive selection of Disney Channel and Disney Jr shows.  The best part is you likely already have Netflix and/or Hulu.

So there is a short rundown of how to watch your favorite Disney shows without agreeing to a 2-year contract for cable TV.
