How to watch the Billboard Latin Music Awards

Note: This article will be updated once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and schedules come out.

If you are a fan of Latin tunes, you will know exactly what the Billboard Latin Music Awards represent. Celebrating long-esteemed talent as well as up-and-comers on the scene, the awards show focuses solely on Latin music.

Are you wondering how to watch the Billboard Latin Music Awards? Well, Telemundo is the only network scheduled to broadcast the ceremony live. We’ve got all the details on how to prepare for one of the year’s biggest events.

When are the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2020?

This year, the Billboard Latin Music Awards was scheduled to hit Las Vegas on Thursday, April 23, 2020 but was rescheduled due to COVID-19. However finalists were already announced, demonstrating the breadth of genres that make up the Latin music category, from Latin Pop and Rhythm to Tropical and Regional Mexican.

Bad Bunny and Ozuna are at the top of the list with a whopping 14 nominations each. The likes of J Balvin and Daddy Yankee are not far behind, so watch out for their names on the big night. Another thing to look out for is the artist of the year award. Four young talents are up for the honor: Jhay Cortez, Sech, Manuel Turizo, and Paulo Londra.

The awards’ finalists are not just chosen by Latin music fans and experts. The nominations also consider data from Billboard’s weekly charts. This includes everything from sales and streaming figures to radio plays and social prominence. Once the awards are scheduled to resume, check back for updated information.

Live TV streaming services for the Billboard Latin Music Awards

To watch the awards show without cable, you will need to have a service that offers Telemundo. Thankfully, you have a handful of options to browse: AT&T TV Now, fuboTV, Hulu, and YouTube TV.

Not only will the following live TV streaming services give you access to Telemundo’s telenovelas and sports coverage, but they will also let you watch all the major networks for a competitive monthly fee. And for times when there is nothing on TV, you can sit back and peruse their huge catalogs of on-demand titles.

If you cannot decide which to opt for, start a seven-day free trial to determine the right service for your needs.

AT&T TV Now

AT&T TV Now’s streaming service has plans at a variety of price points, and it offers an outstanding range of channels. The cheapest package, Plus, houses more than 45 channels for $65/mo. Another popular option is the Max plan, which ups the channel total to 60+ and the price to $80/mo. There are 5 more packages, from an entertainment-focused one costing $93/mo. to the Ultimate, which provides access to over 125 channels for $135/mo. And, for $86/mo., Spanish language plan Optimo Más delivers 90+ channels.

If you like to record your favorite shows, you will revel in AT&T TV Now’s 500 hours of free cloud DVR storage. The service also allows three simultaneous streams for users on any plan, making it ideal for households with differing tastes.

fuboTV

For a service that was originally all about soccer, fuboTV has quickly become a popular choice for live TV watchers. It features 4 packages, including a Spanish language plan that is charged every quarter at $19.99/mo. Prices for the other plans range from $54.99/mo. to $79.99/mo., depending on how many channels you want access to. (The standard package currently provides more than 85 channels.)

Cheaper-plan subscribers can stream content on 2 devices at once and use up 30 hours of cloud DVR storage. If that is not enough, you can buy 500 hours of storage for an extra $2.50/mo. You can also add 3 simultaneous streams for an additional $1.50/mo.

Hulu + Live TV

A big contender in the streaming market thanks to its mixture of major networks and original content, Hulu has two live TV packages. The main plan provides over 60 channels and countless on-demand shows and movies. It costs $54.99/mo. A live TV-only plan will save you $1/mo., but will not give you the chance to try the service for free.

Any Hulu + Live TV subscriber can enjoy 2 simultaneous streams and 50 hours of cloud DVR storage. Upgrades to 200 hours of recordings and an unlimited number of streams are available for an extra $9.99/mo. each.

YouTube TV

For $49.99/mo., YouTube TV will give you the chance to watch the most popular networks in a line-up of 70+ channels. The service comes with plenty of features not offered by other names on the market. For example, users can record an unlimited number of shows and keep them for up to nine months. Plus, they can watch TV on three different devices at once.

Interested? Try a two-week trial until March 15. (After this date, the standard seven-day trial will still be available.)
