The NHL Draft has finally arrived and the Chicago Blackhawks are on the clock. The future of hockey will be determined tonight at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. 224 prospects will make the transition from amateurs to professionals as they get the opportunity to live their dreams as NHL players.
The Anaheim Ducks entered May’s draft lottery with the highest odds to get the top overall pick, however, the balls didn’t roll their way and they’ll likely miss out on highly touted prospect Connor Bedard, who is expected to go number 1.
ESPN will present the first round of the draft with John Buccigross serving as host. He’ll be joined by the network’s NHL analysts Kevin Weekes and Brian Boucher, NHL writer Emily Kaplan and draft and hockey analytics expert Meghan Chayka from on-site in Nashville.
