March Madness isn’t the only basketball tournament going on this month, the 2023 NBA G League Playoffs have arrived. After a grueling 36-game regular season, 12 teams in the NBA’s minor league farm system will duel it out on the hardwood in a four-round tournament to crown a champion.
The Teams
The top 6 teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences qualify for the 2023 NBA G League Playoffs and the top 2 teams from each conference earned a bye into the second round.
Eastern Conference: #1 Long Island Nets (BKN), #2 Delaware Blue Coats (PHI), #3 Capital City Go-Go (WAS), #4 Maine Celtics (BOS), #5 Cleveland Charge (CLE), and #6 Fort Wayne Mad Ants (IND)
Western Conference: #1 Stockton Kings (SAC), #2 Memphis Hustle (MEM), #3 South Bay Lakers (LAL), #4 Salt Lake City Stars (UTA), #5 Sioux Falls Skyforce (MIA), and #6 Rio Grande Valley Vipers (HOU)
Playoff Format
The first 3 rounds are single-elimination with the 2023 NBA G League Finals taking place in a best-of-three series. The finals are a in one-one-one format.
