For the second consecutive year, the MTV Movie & TV Awards will take place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Drew Barrymore was set to host the ceremony, however, due to the ongoing writer’s strike, Barrymore pulled out, but segments that she already filmed may air during the hostless show.

Heading into this year’s ceremony, The Last of Us and Stranger Things lead all shows and movies with 7 nominations each. The Tom Cruise-led vehicle, Top Gun: Maverick leads all films with 6 nominations. Jennifer Coolidge will be honored with the Comedic Genius Award.
