As the No. 2 seed, UNT pulled off a thrilling 56-54 victory over Wisconsin in the semifinal round. No. 4 UAB punched their ticket to the finals after defeating 88-86 Utah Valley in a high-scoring semifinal game. Both teams are competing for their first NIT title in program history.
