After agreeing to a new $900 million deal with ViacomCBS to keep the franchise on Comedy Central, Matt Stone’s and Trey Parker’s long-running animated sitcom South Park returns with season 25. The premiere comes a couple of months after South Park: Post Covid and South Park: Post Covid: Return of Covid, which were the first two entries in the 14 straight-to-Paramount+ movies in the franchise’s new deal with ViacomCBS.

The premiere episode is titled “Pajama Day” and the synopsis is as follows:

After failing to show respect for their teacher, PC Principal revokes Pajama Day privileges for the entire 4th grade class. Cartman is distraught. The kids aren’t going to stand for it but PC Principal refuses to back down.

Check out a preview of the season premiere below.

Created in 1997, George Foster Peabody Award, and five-time Emmy Award-winning franchise will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on August 13, 2022. When the new deal expires in 2027, as cable’s longest-running scripted series, it will have ran through its unprecedented 30th season.

Cord cutters can find out how to watch the adventures of Kenny, Kyle, Stan, and Cartman when the 25th season of South Park makes its long-awaited premiere.
