MLB sensation Shohei Ohtani looks to continue his historic season when the Angels visit Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays on MLB Sunday Leadoff. Ohtani has had a monstrous season on both sides of the ball by leading the MLB in home runs and WAR (Wins Above Replacement, and a 9-5 record as a pitched with 156 strikeouts in over 20 starts.
As the season winds down, the Blue Jays currently have the last spot in the AL Wild Card race. Even with future Hall of Famers Ohtani and Mike Trout, the Angels will need some help if they want to chase a World Series in October. Sunday’s game will be important for both teams if there is an eventual tiebreaker.
