Sam Burns returns to Innisbrook Resort to defend his title at the 2022 Valspar Championship as the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing comes to an end. The event will take place right outside of Tampa, Florida, and will feature 140 players including 21 of the world’s top 50 players. Justin Harding, Pablo Larrazabal, Ashun Wu, and Lucas Bjerregaard are a few notable players who will be competing at the event.
Established in 2000 as the Tampa Bay Classic, the Valspar Championship was originally an alternate event in autumn and late summer but has been played in March since 2007. This year’s purse is 7.8 million with a winner’s share of $1.404 million.
