Once again in 2018 cord cutters will have full access to every March Madness game—something we could have only dreamed about a few years ago. So here is our full guide to watching March Madness.
Games Aired on CBS
CBS will be the place to go for many of the biggest games. Hulu, , YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, and DIRECTV NOW all offer CBS in some markets; however, the best way to watch is 100% with an antenna. With an antenna, you will find the best picture without any delay.
To find out if you can get CBS free over the air, check out AntennaRecommendations.com. There you can see if you need an indoor or outdoor antenna to get CBS.
Games Aired on TNT, TBS, and TruTV
A few years ago the games on cable networks meant cord cutters had to go to a bar to watch them. Now you can catch them on every major live TV streaming service including Sling TV, Hulu, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, and DIRECTV NOW.
So which one is right for you?
Hulu with live TV subscribers will have full access to March Madness both. Networks like TNT, TBS, and TruTV can all be found on Hulu. With Hulu you will also be able to customize your experience and get notifications when your favorite teams are playing.
If you are a Hulu on-demand subscriber you can add Hulu’s live TV service for just $32 a month.
Sling TV is the least expensive option. You will need the Sling TV Orange and the Comedy Extra package and the News add-on for a total of $25 a month. This will give you access to TNT, TBS, and TruTV.
Sling TV does offer a 7-day free trial that will let you test out the service before you pay for it.
The other options include YouTube TV in select markets for $35 a month. Recently YouTube TV added networks like TBS and TNT to their lineup making it a great option for March Madness. (Get it now to be locked in before YouTube TV goes up to $40 a month.)
PlayStation Vue starts at $39.99 a month and has a ton of CBS affiliates across the nation and access to TNT, TBS, and many more.
March Madness App
CBS also has a March Madness App that will let you stream many games. Yet to stream games on networks like TNT you will need a live TV streaming service to log in with.
If you are an AT&T Unlimited Subscriber, you can get DIRECTV NOW for just $10 a month. AT&T gives AT&T Unlimited Subscribers $15 off DIRECTV NOW allowing you to get their $35 a month plan for just $20 a month. In many markets, you will find your local CBS affiliate also streaming on DIRECTV NOW.
DIRECTV NOW offers a 7-day free trial allowing you to test out DIRECTV NOW before you pay.
