Week 8 of the 2020-21 NBA regular season continues tonight with a lineup of 5 games from both conferences, including a nationally televised doubleheader. Tonight’s contest includes the reigning and defending Eastern Conference champions, a former 2-time MVP, and the best team in the Eastern Conference. TNT will be the home of tonight’s nationally broadcasted doubleheader with the 10-14 Heat tipping things off at the Toyota Center to take on the 11-13 Rockets at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Heat are currently on a 3-game win streak and will be looking to extend their streak against a Rockets team that has lost 3 straight games.

The second game of TNT’s doubleheader will tip-off at 10 p.m. ET when the 18-7 76ers travel out west to take on the 13-10 Trail Blazers. The 76ers are the best team in the Eastern Conference and Joel Embiid is looking to stake his claim as NBA MVP with an impressive season. The Trail Blazers escaped Philadelphia with a 121-105 victory when these 2 clubs met earlier in the season.

There are a couple of games around the league that will pique the interest of NBA fans tonight. The Atlantic Division heats up when two 12-win teams go head-to-head in a tough matchup. The 12-11 Celtics will host the 12-13 Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN and NBC Sports Boston. When these teams played earlier this season in Tampa via Toronto, the Celtics left with a 126-114 win.

At 10 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Bay Area and Fox Sports Florida, the former 2-time NBA MVP Steph Curry and the 13-12 Warriors make their return home after going 2-2 on a 4-game road trip. They will host a 9-16 Magic team that is 4-8 on the road this season and have won 1 out of their last 9 road games.
