How to Watch FOX on Roku, Fire TV, & Apple TV

FOX is the most popular local channel we get requests for. While it is on some live TV streaming services, you will find many of the big ones such as Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW, and others do not have FOX.

So let’s take a look at how you can get FOX without paying a cable company for access.

Antennas

The best way for most Americans to access FOX is to get an antenna. Somewhere between 80% and 90% of Americans will get FOX for free with an antenna. An antenna really is a must-have for every cord cutter to at least look into. Not only will you get ABC, CBS. FOX, FOX, and NBC in many markets, but you will also find many more channels for free. Channels such as the CW, iON, Me TV, and many others are all free over the air for many Americans. From there you can use a device like a Tablo DVR to stream your antenna to your Roku, Fire TV, or Apple TV>

If you want to see if you can get FOX or other locals where you live for free visit AntennaRecommendations.com. Just enter your address, and it will show you what you can get for free.

Sadly though many Americans live in an area that cannot get FOX. While the new over-the-air 3.0 standard is said to offer better reception for over-the-air TV, we are still a few years away from 3.0. The good news is you do have other options.

Streaming Options

If you want to stream FOX and can’t get it with an antenna Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, Hulu, and DIRECTV NOW will all give you FOX but not in all markets. The good news is one or more is very likely to offer you, locals, including FOX.

With these services not only do you get all the cable networks streamed but you also get access to WatchESPN to watch games on FOX if you do not get FOX free over the air or on your streaming service.

Here is what each service costs:

Sling TV starts at $20 a month but you will need the $5 broadcast TV add-on. The good news is that Sling TV offers a 7-day free trial.

Hulu starts at $39.99 (If you already have Hulu On-Demand you can add Hulu Live TV for just $32.)

PlayStation Vue starts at $39.99 a month and offers a 5-day free trial.

YouTube TV costs $39.99 a month and offers a 7-day free trial.

fuboTV starts at $44.99 a month and includes a free 7-day trial.

DIRECTV NOW starts at $35 a month or $20 a month if you have AT&T Wireless Unlimited service. You can also get a 7-day free trial to test out the service before you pay.

My suggestion is to give them all a try and see which one is right for you.
