The 2023 college baseball season begins today as the best collegiate players in the country step into the batter’s box on the journey to the 2023 College World Series. Teams in 30 conferences compete in NCAA Division I College Baseball throughout the season to stamp their ticket to the grueling 64-team tournament. The remaining two teams will advance to Omaha, Nebraska for the CWS.
The Ole Miss Rebels are the defending champions after going 42-23 in the regular season before defeating the Oklahoma Sooners 2-0 in the 2022 College World Series. They’ll be looking to become the first back-to-back champions since South Carolina in 2010 and 2011.
