After an exciting Week 11, the NFL season continues with a packed lineup for Week 12. The Cardinals and Chiefs will have the week off but there are 15 games slated for this week, including a feast on Thanksgiving Day with a triple header.
This week’s Sunday Night Football matchup is a hard-hitting AFC North affair between the 6-5 Cleveland Browns and 7-3 Baltimore Ravens. To say these 2 franchises have a bitter history is an understatement. At one point in time, the Ravens were the original Cleveland Browns before relocating to Baltimore in 1996. After never winning or playing in a Super Bowl in over 25 years in Cleveland, the Ravens won their first Super Bowl 5-years after relocating in 2001. To add insult to injury, the Browns would be re-established in 1999, and haven’t shown any type of sustained success since, while the Raven won their second Super Bowl in 2013. Also, the Ravens are 33-11-0 all-time against Cleveland.
The NFC East and NFC West will clash on Monday Night Football to end the week. The 3-7 Seattle Seahawks will travel to the East Coast to take on the 4-6 Washington Football Team. The Seahawks have lost 4 of their last 5 and are on a 2-game losing streak. Their playoff hopes are on life support and if they lose against Washington their season is more than likely over. This offseason, the franchise will have to make a decision on the futures of head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Russell Wilson. Monday’s game will not be an easy task for Seattle, as Washington is hot right now, and currently on a 2-game win streak after defeating the Panthers and the Buccaneers.
