How to Watch ‘Bel-Air’ Series Premiere on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV & More

Now, this is a reboot all about how, a classic sitcom got flipped and turned upside down, in 60-minute episodes with some drama flair, there’s a new spin on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Developed by Will Smith and Morgan Cooper, Bel-Air is based on Cooper’s short film of the same name, which follows Smith’s journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the lavish lifestyle of Bel-Air.  After battling Netflix and HBO Max, Peacock ordered two seasons of the sterilized drama series with Smith sharing the news:

“We have just officially closed the deal with Peacock with an unprecedented 2 season order from a pitch. I’ve been in this business for 30 years and that does not happen,” Smith says in the video, sharing the news with showrunner, co-executive producer, and co-writer Chris Collins and co-executive producer Morgan Cooper.”

The reboot will be set in modern-day America with new faces portraying characters from the original series. Jabari Banks will star as Will Smith, Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks, Cassandra Freeman as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa.
