Apple TV+ is a shiny, (relatively) new streaming service that is gaining a lot of traction with originals like Tom Hanks’ movie Greyhound, and series including The Morning Show, Dickinson, and many more. But can you still watch the streaming service without an Apple TV or other Apple device? The short answer: YES. All you need is a free Apple ID.

How to sign up for a free Apple ID

Visit the Apple ID page using your web browser and “Create Your Apple ID” by heading to the link in the top right corner

You’ll be taken to a signup form where you’ll be asked to enter personal details like your date of birth and be prompted to create a secure password for your new account.

The email address you enter will be your new Apple ID. After you click continue, a pop up will ask you for the code that was just sent to your email, so have a way to check it handy.

After that, you’re all set to head over to Apple TV+ and signup for a 7-day free trial using your new Apple ID, or set up a monthly subscription at $4.99/month.

Where to Watch Apple TV+

Now that you have an Apple ID, you can watch Apple TV+ via the app from any of these devices:

Roku – Apple TV+ has its very own Roku channel so you can stream it without any hassle

Amazon Fire TV – You can download the Apple TV+ app here, or ask Alexa on your Fire TV device with your voice: “Alexa, find the Apple TV app”

Samsung Smart TVs – Stream via the Apple TV App

LG Smart TVs – Stream via the Apple TV App

Web Browser – Of course, there’s always the option to go straight to the source at https://tv.apple.com/ and watch on your computer or laptop.
