After a grueling regular season and a thrilling postseason, MLB’s final two teams will face off in the 2023 Word Series. The 119th edition of the championship series will be a best-of-seven playoff between the Texas Rangers (AL Champion) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (NL Champion). Each team lost over 100 games in 2021 but turned things around in record time. The Diamondbacks defeated the Phillies in a comeback for the ages after going down 3-2. In regular season play, the D-Backs went 3-1 against the Rangers, with two of those victories coming at home at Chase Field back in August. The Rangers took down the defending champion Astros, 4-3, in the ALCS to advance to their third World Series.
