But you’ll also get legendary TV shows like Friends, Looney Tunes, and The Big Bang Theory, as well as blockbuster movies like Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Jojo Rabbit, and The Matrix.

How to download HBO Max content on Amazon Fire TV Stick
The HBO Max app lets you download up to 30 titles to watch later. The only catch is it’s only available for Android and iOS phones and tablets. But that makes sense since you typically watch videos while offline and on the go with your mobile device.
However, there are a few details you should keep in mind. Once you download a movie or show, you have 30 days to watch it before it automatically deletes. And after you start watching, you’ll have 48 hours to finish before it disappears. But don’t worry, expired titles can be renewed. More on that below.
Where do your downloads go? It can be difficult to track down your titles after you download them. HBO Max keeps all downloaded titles within its app. To access your downloads, select the Profile icon and then Downloads. From there you’ll find every download across all of your profiles and devices.
More and more streaming services are realizing the importance of offline downloads. Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu all offer a similar offline feature. Some are better than others. For example, Hulu has a limited number of titles available for offline viewing, whereas Disney+ is much more generous, letting you download an unlimited amount of titles across 10 separate devices. Not too shabby.
The final cut
HBO Max goes beyond traditional HBO, carrying tons more movies and shows along with a solid set of features. And its list of compatible devices while previously limited, has grown consistently since its conception. Currently, it only lacks support for one top-tier brand in Roku. You can stream the service on most any device, and its offline download capabilities make it even easier to tune into your favorite HBO shows and movies. When you subscribe to HBO Max, you’ll get your first 7 days free of charge. To avoid being charged, just make sure to cancel your subscription before your week’s up.
