We all know the pain after you cancel your TV service: you get hundreds of emails and letters asking you to come back. Here is how you can get off many of the major companies’ call lists.
It’s not a perfect system, and many companies have shut down their websites that allowed you to go on the do not call lists for them without talking to support.
The first thing you need to do is add yourself to the Do Not Call list. You can do that on this site https://www.donotcall.gov/ Sadly, this only stops new companies from calling you. If you want a company that you worked with in the past to stop calling you, you will need to contact that company to go on their do not call list.
DIRECTV
For DIRECTV and DIRECTV STREAM, you can ask support (https://support.directv.com/app/ask) to remove you from their contact lists. (Make sure to include your contact information so they know who to remove.)
Comcast
Comcast has a website just to be removed from their mailing list. You can find it here: http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/account/do-not-call-do-not-mail-registry-requests
If that does not work, contact customer service for help.
DISH
You just need to ask DISH customer service to put you on their do not contact list. You can find their contact us page here: http://www.dish.com/chat/
Spectrum
You can ask Spectrum to remove you from their list by visiting: https://www.spectrum.com/policies/your-privacy-rights-opt-out
