Spectrum TV customers now pay $13.50 a month for broadcast TV fees, up from $11.99 a month. This adds up to $162 a year to your bill just to watch free over-the-air TV you could get with an antenna. Spectrum’s streaming services TV Stream and TV Choice also saw the Broadcast TV “Surcharge” increase from $5 a month to $6 a month.

Spectrum TV Select now costs $44.99/month for the first year, before added fees. Spectrum notes that “TV equipment required and is extra; other equipment, install, taxes, fees and surcharges may apply.”

If that price seems too high to you, below are four streaming services that cost less.

Spectrum TV Choice: Want to stick with Spectrum? They have an a la carte option for $24.99/month that might work for you. This option comes without the contracts and with no cable box required. Choose 10 channels from a selection of 65 networks and stream your channels through the app or on the web. For those who have been subscribing to Spectrum cable, this can be a good first step toward cord cutting.

Philo: At just $20/month, Philo is an affordable service with nearly 60 channels. Stream Philo live or on-demand and use the included Cloud DVR feature to store unlimited content for up to 30 days.

Vidgo: This newly launched streaming service offers 60 channels for $39.99/month. Currently, Vidgo is bringing live local channels including ABC, Fox, and My Network TV to select markets, along with news, sports, and entertainment channels.

Sling TV: You can choose Sling Orange or Sling Blue for $25/month, or a combination for $40/month, making each less than the Spectrum $44.99 price point. With the combo package, you’ll get over 45 channels, including sports, news, and entertainment. Pair Sling TV with an antenna and you’ll have locals, live TV, and on-demand content.
