How Does Sling TV’s New Deal Compare with DIRECTV NOW, YouTube TV, Hulu, & More?

On July 1, Sling TV announced a new subscription bundle for new and existing users. The Total TV Deal includes adds seven Extras, including 50 hours of Cloud DVR, to a Sling plan for just $20. With both Sling Orange and Sling Blue regularly priced at $20/month each, this new deal gives you a huge list of channels for $45/month.

At that price and with the number of channels offered, it’s now easier to compare Sling TV to some of the other live TV streaming services.

What You’ll Get with The Total TV Deal

For an extra $20 a month, you’ll get the following seven extras:

Sling Orange and Sling Blue have their own unique channel lineups. When choosing your plan, keep in mind that most of the Extras will add different channels to Sling Orange vs Sling Blue as well.

Comparing to Other Live TV Streaming Services

YouTube TV will give you unlimited Cloud DVR and 85 channels for $49.99/month. That’s $0.58 per channel

Hulu + Live TV will give you 50 hours of Cloud DVR and 67 channels for $44.99/month. That’s $0.67 per channel.

DIRECTV Now will give you 20 hours of Cloud DVR and 54 channels for $50/month. That’s $0.93 per channel.

PlayStation Vue just increased their prices by $5 and will be adding new channels. Right now, you’ll get DVR storage for up to 500 programs and 51 channels for $49.99/month. That’s $0.98 per channel.
