HBO shared today that filming has started for Season Three of House of the Dragon and new cast members have been announced.
House of the Dragon is a prequel to Game of Thrones, set 200 years earlier, and tells the story of House Targaryen. The series was renewed for a third season before the release of Season 2 back in June.
The new cast includes Tommy Flanagan as Ser Roderick Dustin and Dan Fogler as Ser Torrhen Manderly. Previously announced new season three cast includes James Norton as Ormund Hightower.
Flanagan, Fogler, and Norton will join returning cast Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, and Abubakar Salim.
There is no confirmed release date for Season 3 yet.
