For five years in a row, Hocus Pocus has topped Vudu’s list of most popular Halloween movies on the video-on-demand service. The 1993 comedy has conjured up a place in tradition as viewers flock to rewatch it each year.
“As many entertainment fans bring their Halloween festivities home this year, there’s no shortage of spooky content to suit every taste, from recent hits to cult classics,” says Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis. “While written off as a box office bomb when it first debuted nearly three decades ago, ‘Hocus Pocus’ has since gone on to become a new classic as the top Halloween perennial and the most-watched Halloween movie on Vudu for five years in a row.”
Vudu is home to a huge collection of scary, spooky, and Halloween themed movies for you to rent or buy this October. Hocus Pocus is now available on Vudu and on FandangoNOW in 4K and on sale for $9.99.

Not only is Hocus Pocus the most-watched on the list, it also made the number one spot for Top Family-Friendly Halloween movies, according to Vudu’s survey of more than 2,000 viewers. The film fans’ ages ranged from 18-34 and were surveyed during the first week of October. Below are the results of the survey.
