HBO Max is consistently one of the streaming services to get the most new arrivals every month. In September, blockbuster movies are returning to the platform, including Mortal Kombat and Mad Max: Fury Road, plus two new WarnerBros. movie premieres Malignant and Cry Macho, will be available to stream at home the same day as theaters.
In addition, all eight of the original Harry Potter movies are returning to HBO Max after a short stint over at Peacock. The films were part of the HBO Max library at launch but were then licensed over to Peacock just three months later. Now, The Boy Who Lived is returning to HBO Max.
