Acorn TV is starting the New Year off with a fresh slate of new programming, including new new episodes of The Larkins, and Queens of Mystery Season 2 on Mondays throughout the month. Plus you can catch the exclusive film Help starring Jody Comer (Killing Eve) as a caretaker whose relationship with her nursing home resident is put to the test under horrifying circumstances when the Covid 19 pandemic hits.

Monday, January 3

Under The Vines (Acorn TV Original) – Weekly episodes every Monday Episode 6: SEASON FINALE

Nic brings word of Oakley’s newfound fame, which has already reached an unimpressed Marissa. As Daisy and Louis help Tippy prepare for her speech, Griffin’s arrival blindsides everyone, especially Gus. Gala prep at Shimmering Lake takes an explosive turn, putting the entire showcase in jeopardy until Daisy offers an alternative that could save the day. Louis faces an unenviable decision. With the imminent arrival of her sister, Ma is cleaning like a demon. Bertha and her family are firm suburbanites who despise the countryside and in particular dirt and animals. Things aren’t going very well between Mariette and Charley, so Tom makes his move. Meanwhile, Tom’s plans for Bluff Court are speeding ahead, and Ma and Bertha do some speeding of their own in a not-so-sisterly road race. (1 EP, 2021)

This fresh contemporary 8-part cop show takes the audience on an exhilarating ride through the challenges of frontline policing in the vibrant and alternative seaside city of Brighton. Adrenalized and propulsive, the show is packed full of dramatic incidents and colorful characters as every episode sees cops put their lives on the line to protect the public; from a booby-trapped cannabis farm in a suburban semi, to an elderly farmer’s wife with a shotgun – this is a job fraught with danger. When Matilda (Florence Hall) investigates a murder at Wildemarsh Wellness Retreat, she finds several people with distinctly ill intentions towards each other. A second death leads Matilda to uncover a heart-wrenching tragedy, waiting to be avenged. (2 EPS, 2021)

The Larkins (Acorn TV Exclusive) – Weekly episodes every Monday Episode 6 of 7 – NEW SERIES

The Larkins dash to the railway station to stall Mariette’s departure to France. They convince her to stay for a donkey derby/gymkhana and cocktail party in a few days. The pressure is on for the Larkins – this has to be a magical social event that will change Mariette’s mind.  (1 EP, 2021)

A body is discovered at the opening of a new art gallery where her Aunt Cat (Julie Graham) is exhibiting. Matilda’s interviews of the suspects don’t paint a pretty picture, but after a second murder at the gallery, she starts to realize there’s more to them than meets the eye. (2 EPS, 2021)

The Larkins Christmas Special (Acorn TV Exclusive) – 7 of 7 episodes

In the village, all the talk is of the pantomime and an ongoing spate of burglaries – Miss Pilchester, the Normans and Johnny Delamere are amongst the victims. Whilst PC Harness applies his limited gifts to finding the culprit, Mariette (Sabrina BartlettBridgerton) and Charley (Tok StephenSilent Witness) take their love to the next level.
